Dr. J. Martin Tucker received his undergradute, medical school, and residency training at the University of Mississippi. He completed his MFM fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). He is Immediate Past President of ACOG.

Dr. Tucker was in practice with Jackson Healthcare for Women for 29 years. He is a past president of the Winfred Wiser Society, the Jackson Gynecic Society, and the UM Medical Alumni Chapter. Dr. Tucker was the 2018 UMMC Distinguished Medical Alumnus of the year. He has chaired the MS Infant Mortality Task Force and the MS State Medical Association Council on Legislation.
