Session Description
Obstetric trauma is underrecognized: Trauma and chronic stress are a result of disparities in perinatal outcomes as well as a cause. The biologic impact of chronic stress, including that due to racism, will be discussed, and attendees will consider strategies to mitigate trauma, address obstetric racism, and utilize Trauma-Informed Care to disrupt the intergenerational impact of these stressors.
