Session Description After providing a foundation for the frequency and reasons that peripartum women seek care by EMS/ED services and the current maternal mortality and morbidity findings, attendees will learn about approaches to develop collaborations with ED/EMS providers so they are ready for, recognize, and respond to emergencies—both obstetric and nonobstetric—in peripartum women, especially in rural and low-resource settings.
