Yinka Oyelese, MD, Director of Obstetric Imaging at Boston's Beth Israel Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, is a specialist in high-risk pregnancy. With a medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (1986), he did his ObGyn training in Nigeria before training in London, UK, under ultrasound pioneer, Professor Stuart Campbell.
In 1999, he relocated to the US, where he completed an OBGYN residency at Georgetown University Hospital and fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Rutgers University. Dr. Oyelese's expertise focuses on prenatal ultrasound and pregnancy-related bleeding/placental disorders. He contributes to prominent journals and obstetrical textbooks, and has authored editorials for The American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology. A peer reviewer for over 30 medical journals, he lectures worldwide. Outside medicine, Dr. Oyelese is a photographer, musician, and record producer.
